This will be a shorten but an important week. We will review and take our benchmarks this week, as well as begin our final unit on argumentation.
Below is the proposed agenda for the week:

Monday: Review for the benchmark. Objective: Today, students will review for their benchmarks which are tomorrow. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will know what is expected of them for their benchmarks tomorrow. Homework: Review class notes.
Tuesday: Benchmark.Objectives: Today, students will take their final benchmark. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will have taken their benchmark. Homework:None.
Wednesday: NO SCHOOL
Thursday: Review vocabulary, benchmarks, and begin discussing argumentation. Objectives: Today’s class will focus on students reviewing their benchmarks, as well as continuing to learn about argumentation. Objectives: By the end of class, all students will have reviewed argumentation, and become more familiar with Toulmin’s model and modes of persuasion.
Homework: Review suffixes for quiz tomorrow.
Friday: Suffixes quiz, continue argumentation lesson, begin group argumentation assignment. Objective: Today, students will continue to learn about argumentation, as well as begin working on their group argumentative presentations which will be due next week. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will have understood and begun working on their group argumentation presentations.
