This week, we will be working on a group project which will involve you using all of the skills you have learned in class so far. This will be the final major assignment before we move into the final. Please give it your best effort!
Below is the proposed agenda for the week:
What is a utopia?
How do moral and ethical philosophies shape our society?
How can we learn from others to perfect the future?
Monday: Review a little of everything we have covered this semester, pass out group assignment, begin research. Objectives: Today students will begin working on their new group assignments entitled: Utopia: Reimagined. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will have been given their groups, understand their assignments, and begun researching. Homework: None.
Tuesday (Interim’s Issued) Continue working on group projects. Objectives: Today, students will continue working on their group projects. They will continue researching and creating their perfect societies. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will have finished researching their needed information and begun creating their presentations. Homework:None.
Wednesday: NO SCHOOL!!
Thursday: Continue working on group projects. Objectives: Today, students will finish creating their group presentations. All presentations are due at the beginning of class tomorrow. Outcomes:By the end of class, all students should be finished with creating their presentations. Homework: Rehearse your presentations.
Friday: Present group presentations. Objectives: Today, students will present their group presentations demonstrating different elements of what they have learned over the course of this semester. Outcomes: By the end of class, most, if not all groups, should have presented. Homework:None.
