I hope that each of you had a wonderful weekend! This is our last “full” week of class before the break. This week, we will focus on incorporating all of the information you have learned so far in Argument Theory to create an ad campaign on a cause of your choosing. All of the information will be provided for you, and you will have to present the information with your groups at the beginning of next week.

How can rhetoric be used across multiple mediums?
Monday: Continue working on ad campaign: focus on propaganda posters and slogans. Objectives: Today students will focus on continuing their ad campaigns as they work on their propaganda posters and slogan using modes of persuasion. Outcomes: By the end of class all students should be finished with their propaganda posters and slogans. Homework: Continue planning ideas for ad campaign.
Tuesday: Continue working on ad campaign: focus of using logical fallacies. Objectives: Today students will continue working on their ad campaigns by incorporating logical fallacies to write up a mini commercial which they will later create and star in. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students should be finished with writing up their mini commercials. Homework: Continue any last many preparations for filming commercials tomorrow.
Wednesday: Continue working on ad campaign: focus on creating physical commercial /skit which will be filmed on student phones. Objectives: Today’s class will focus on students filming and editing their commercials which they created yesterday. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will have finished filming their commercials. Homework: Finish up any last minute editing issues to commercials.
Thursday: Continue working on ad campaign: focus on creating a website incorporating propaganda techniques and information about a topic. Objectives: Today’s class will focus on students creating a website, via Weebly, to get their ad information out to a wide audience. The goal is to work in multiple mediums. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students should be finished creating a website and uploading some of their ad information.
Friday: Continue working on ad campaign: focus on finishing website and preparing for presentations. Objectives: Today students will focus on finishing up their ad campaign websites, as well as prepare for their presentations which will take place on Monday. Outcomes: By the end of class all websites should be complete, and students should be ready to present. Homework: Finish any last many preparations for presentations on Monday.
