I hope that everyone had a truly fantastic weekend! I wanted to take a moment and commend you on the excellent work that took place this past week during the class debates. These were some of the best overall debates I have had the pleasure of seeing thus far in Argument Theory; that is directly correlated to your dedication and efforts. This week we will begin focusing on Public Forum Debates. Absolutely no work will be assigned to you over the break! Please be safe, and enjoy your well-earned down time.

Monday: Discuss Lincoln Douglas Debates dos and do not’s, begin learning about public forum debate, assign topics and partners. Objectives: Today students will begin learning about Public Forum Debates, as well as receive their topics and partners. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will know their given topic for their debates. Homework: None.
Tuesday: Early Release Day (Short Class!) Continue research for Public Forum Debates. Objectives: Today’s class will be a continuation of yesterday’s class as students continue to research for their Public Forum Debates. Outcomes: By the end of class, all students will have a base understanding of their topics. Homework: None, enjoy your break!!! Please be safe!
