I hope that each of you had a splendid weekend! We are just five days away from Spring Break!!! Please remember, break does not begin until Friday after class; we need to make this week meaningful and lasting! As a side note, there will be zero work given or expected to be done over break!

Monday: SSW, vocabulary, continue reading Romeo and Juliet, and continue working on student plays. Overview: Students will use today to focus on seeing the what happens as Romeo and Juliet go against their parents’ wishes, as well as they will work on their group plays. Outcomes: Students will increase their vocabulary, as well as their writing abilities as they continue working on their group plays. Homework: None.
Tuesday: SSW, vocabulary review, continue reading Romeo and Juliet, and continue working on student plays. Overview: Today students will look at choices and consequences, as well as continue working on their group plays. Outcomes: Students will continue to increase in their writing abilities as they used what they have already learned to continue working on their group plays. Homework: None.
Wednesday: SSW, grammar focus: prepositions, continue reading Romeo and Juliet, and finish working on student plays. Overview: Students will focus on increasing their knowledge of grammar, as well as finish writing their plays. Outcomes: Today students will finish and submit their group plays. Homework: None.
Thursday: SSW, grammar focus: prepositions, continue reading Romeo and Juliet, discuss students plays, and write in drama journals. Overview: Today students will begin to the eventual evening of Romeo and Juliet, as well as express their opinions on the play so far. Outcomes: Students will continue to increase their reading and writing abilities, as well as demonstrate their opinions, using textual evidence to support them, as they write in their drama journals. Homework: Study for vocabulary and grammar quizzes tomorrow.
Friday: (Report Cards will be distributed!!) Vocabulary quiz, grammar quiz, ssw, discuss drama journals, and finish reading Romeo and Juliet. Overview: Today students will primarily be assessed on what they have learned this week, as well as finish reading the play Romeo and Juliet. Outcomes: Today students will demonstrate their understanding of vocabulary and grammar as they are quizzed on both. Students will also finish reading the play Romeo and Juliet and give their final thoughts. Homework: NONE!!! Have a great spring break!!!! Be safe!!!!
